The delegation was led by senior adviser Josh Gruenbaum, while Gen. Mark Schwartz (ret.), the Board’s security lead, participated remotely. 

There is currently a two-week ceasefire to finalize the details of the process. However, if Hamas does not begin the process, this will be considered a violation of and an end to the ceasefire.

Under the hostage-release agreement, the IDF was expected to remain in roughly 53% of the Gaza Strip, along what became known as the Yellow Line.
