The arrangement concealed Trump's actual location for several hours, not only from the American public but also from many senior administration officials.

NORAD declined to say whether the pilots of the two aircraft had made a mistake, saying that it is up to the Federal Aviation Administration to make that determination, Reuters reported.

It was the most complex, dangerous, and historic day since the establishment of the Israeli Air Force's air traffic control. Hundreds of aircraft of every possible type were returning simultaneously.

The move comes after Transportation Minister Miri Regev pressed Israeli security officials to clear the refueling aircraft from the airport in order to ensure normal operations.

The framework contract will remain in effect until 2035, with the Air Force placing individual orders under its terms.

"We announced in the clearest terms that if Israel is fired upon, we will attack with all our might. We are prepared to strike Iran," Katz warned in an interview with Channel 14.

The legislation comes amid a long-running debate over the future of the A-10 and whether newer aircraft can adequately replace its close air support and combat search-and-rescue capabilities.

Local sources said that Iran had launched drone and missile attacks at the Al-Salem airbase in Kuwait, Iran's IRCG- affiliated Tasnim News Agency reported.

"There is no intention to close the airspace of the State of Israel, even in the sensitive strategic-security situation in which we find ourselves," said Yiftach Ron-Tal. 

"The US will bomb and destroy one bridge or power plant, including those located next to, or in, the capital city of Tehran," Trump said.
