The website called the ban "invalid on the ground that it infringes the implied freedom of political communication," in its court filing.

It's unclear exactly how social media reviews would be conducted or what would trigger the government to interfere with a foreigner's entry into the country.

"Our study shows that what might appear as harmless banter is, in fact, a vehicle for normalising antisemitism," said Dr Itoiz Rodrigo-Jusué.
