Security-camera footage from the scene appeared to show a gunman approach two men standing in a parking area, briefly speak with them, and then open fire at close range.

Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks told reporters the shooter was dead and the threat to the community was over.

It is not yet clear whether the additional deployment will remain in place throughout the summer, as the military continues to reassess a rapidly shifting situation.

Police officers, alerted by the sound of a gunshot, said they found evidence of a weapon having been fired outside the building on University Avenue.

Seattle Police Department stated that officers responded to the scene after 6 p.m. and are investigating the incident, advising people to avoid the area as victims are treated.

The High Court of Justice permitted the publication of Border Police officer Hananel Sabag's name after rejecting his appeal against being identified in the fatal shooting case.

According to initial reports, the shooting happened after a fight between Israelis and Palestinians in the southern Hebron Hills. A weapon was apparently stolen, and one person was injured.

"The incident is still ongoing. There are still people in danger. Terror will not break us," Samaria Regional Council Head Yossi Dagan said. "The response must be offensive."

A group of Israeli civilians had illegally crossed into Palestinian Authority-controlled territory while hiking in the area, leading to clashes with local Palestinians.

Authorities said the attackers seized three AK-47 rifles, three bulletproof vests, and several mobile phones from the checkpoint during the attack before fleeing.
