Lauder has joined the J Street crowd that believes it knows what is best for Israel and will “save it from itself.” Does he realize how paternalistic he sounds?

Lauder currently supports 62 projects in 16 European countries, contributing to a resurrection of Jewish life throughout the region. But above all, he is a passionate lover of Israel.

Does Lauder believe that the administration of the late Yitzhak Rabin, which amended Basic Law: Human Dignity and Freedom without adding the magic word also tarnished Israel’s equality?

There have always been differences of opinion among the Jewish people about what will guarantee the future of the nation – assimilation amongst the nations, or rather separation from them.

Israel is the only Jewish state we have.

Turns out you don’t have to be young or naïve to be disheartened over perceptions of where Israel is heading.

In Lauder’s article, he accused the Israeli government of making decisions that could threaten future support for the Jewish state from liberal Diaspora Jews and world leaders.

One area that definitely needs improvement is Israel’s relationship with American Jews. This is especially true of the younger generation.
