The Shin Bet is investigating haredi anti-conscription protests after multiple disruptive incidents, amid concerns that future demonstrations could threaten government sites or officials.

One resident of the area told BBC News that "Masked men were bashing down doors," while the Belfast Telegraph reported that Molotov cocktails had been thrown at police officers.

In addition, Jerusalem District Police raided the homes of suspects connected to the June 1 haredi riots in Beit Shemesh.

Tomer Moskowitz, a friend of Sohlberg, told 103FM that "anyone could feel their life in danger in a situation like this," and that it could have ended completely differently.

The man, uninvolved in the protest, was pushed to the ground and suffered a head wound, Ynet reported.

The moment every sector claims the right to determine which laws are binding and which are optional, citizenship becomes tribal membership, and the state becomes a collection of competing exceptions.

Taieb clarified that the police are not treating this as a normal protest. According to him, this was a serious criminal event with real intent to harm.

Leadership must choose: a law-abiding country where court rulings are binding and criminal acts carry consequences; or a country where every faction decides for itself which laws it recognizes.
