Stewart has always been an avatar for a certain kind of highly assimilated, secular Jew who makes his Jewish identity a prominent part of his public persona.

While it may be true that Arabs within the Jewish state suffer certain forms of discrimination, the reality is that the opportunities for Arabs in Israel far exceed those in most modern Arab states.

Founded by Ezra Beinart, a junior at a Jewish day school in New York City, the project’s goal is to bring Palestinian perspectives to a demographic that, he says, sorely lacks them. 

Forty-six years after the infamous UN resolution 3379, the accusation of “Zionism is racism” is alive and well in America.

"It is so harmful to feel that our identity is being challenged, that we must choose between our progressive values and the fight against anti-Semitism," said Hen Mazzig.

“We will explore how to fight back against antisemitism and against those that seek to wield charges of antisemitism to undermine progressive movements for justice.”

Only one speaker on the panel is Jewish.

The assumption underlying her recent comments is that Israel is important to her listeners, and that they do not share the Seth Rogen or Peter Beinart “who needs Israel” mindset.

Arguments for a binational “solution” are a century old – and they collapsed under the weight of Jewish blood and Arab intransigence.
