Ben-Gvir made the trip alongside Development of the Negev and Galilee Minister Yitzhak Wasserlauf, who is also a member of Oztma Yehudit.

Notably, Ben-Gvir's demand comes against the backdrop of prolonged clashes between Ben-Gvir and Baharav-Miara throughout the current government's term over a series of legal and policy issues.

The bill's proposal argues that in many Muslim countries there are clear restrictions on noise levels, and "some countries have almost entirely prohibited the use of loudspeaker systems in mosques."

This is Likud’s lowest figure since August 2025, when it received 21 seats in a Maariv poll. However, the coalition bloc maintained its strength from last week at 50 seats.

Fuchs dismissed comments from Haskel, who objected to the bill, and from the group of coalition lawmakers who also objected to it.
