Norway’s increasing support for Palestinian initiatives and its stance following the October 7 terrorist attacks had deepened the divide between the two nations.

Four members of the delegation sent from Easter Islands spent the night at the Oslo museum as part of a ritual ceremony to take back the spirits of the remains.

The fund operates under ethical rules set by parliament and, over the years, has divested from nine companies, all Israeli, over activities in the Palestinian territories.

When pro-Palestinians supporters saw the Israeli hostage supporters, they began shouting slogans such as, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!”

My conclusion is that demilitarization is a myth. In any territory evacuated by Israel, it is neither possible to enforce nor reasonable to expect that.

There is a lot that can be written today – 30 years later – about the Oslo Accords, whether they were misguided, an example of political naïveté or the right vision, but it misses the main point.

We call on the prime minister to step up and apply sovereignty, as this is the appropriate response to remedy the enormous damages of the Oslo Accords.
