The head of Britain's counter terrorism policing told reporters that law enforcement is still working to understand the motivation behind the murder of 78-year-old Ann Widdecombe.

"Following new information and evidence, they (counter-terrorism police) are now leading on the investigation into the horrific murder of Ann Widdecombe," interior minister Shabana Mahmood stated.

The shooting involved US Immigration and Customs Enforcement; details are being confirmed.

The 19-year-old was stabbed during a fight on Saturday. 

In determining the sentence, the court said the murder gravely violated the sanctity of life and emphasized that Almog had abused the trust inherent in the couple's romantic relationship.

“Mani was a very warm-hearted and humorous young man who loved the cause of freedom above all else,” his mother told The Jerusalem Post. “In the end, he even gave his life for that freedom.”

In the same incident, Jonathan Khouri, an 18-year-old Arab Christian resident of the city’s Hadar neighborhood, was killed, while a third young man was hospitalized and remains in serious condition.

Police suspect the alleged stabber came to the yeshiva to pray with the rabbi. At the time, several former criminals who had returned to religious observance were also sitting around the rabbi.
