Slow and Bro is a family enterprise with good food and a very friendly ambience – definitely an asset to the Ra’anana kosher scene.

These restaurants are not simply places for kosher travelers to fill their tanks with a quick falafel or a bad slice of pizza. These are high-quality establishments.

The direct cost of corrupt kashrut services is very high and burdens the economy with about $800 million, as well as raising the cost of almost all goods to our families, rich and poor.

The targeted restaurants were Nagila Pizza, Fisherman's Bowl, Shanghai Diamond Garden, SushiKo, and Shalom Grill.

While the specific laws of kashrut are mysterious, the broader notion of regulating our diet is obvious. Kosher dietary laws always forged Jewish identity. 

Roots is owned by two partners, a Muslim and a Jew who have been friends since kindergarten. And besides serving excellent food in the most picturesque surroundings, it is also a model of coexistence

The event also had several stalls with specialty products, like gluten-free, dairy-free and egg-free foods, as well as vitamins, supplements and health foods.

ABOVE THE FOLD: In other words, Israeli food has come of age internationally. The people, the products, and the places have exploded. And to that I say: Enjoy! Be’tayavon!

In an email sent to exhibitors and attendees on Wednesday, the Kosherfest team announced that they had made the difficult decision to discontinue the event.

Apfelbaum’s decision to go with a mainstream publisher mean the book would appear in “regular”  bookstores, but the change meant some new challenges.
