German prosecutors say a second Afghan national has been arrested in Denmark over a plot to attack Jewish targets in Germany, months after his alleged co-conspirator was detained.

Seven properties in Hamburg and 12 in Berlin and Hesse were searched as part of investigations into Generation Islam and Realitaet Islam, the interior ministry said.

Some children were lightly injured, and an accompanying adult was severely injured, a spokesperson for the Berlin fire brigade said.
