An altercation broke out between two couples spending time at the Kfar Maccabiah pool in Ramat Gan on Saturday afternoon, leading to one woman being stabbed, according to police.

The altercation, which occurred in full view of dozens of swimmers, including children, broke out after one man asked another to stop smoking near the pool.

The argument quickly escalated into a physical altercation, with the two men throwing chairs at one another during the brawl, sources close to the investigation said. The incident turned bloody when one of the suspects allegedly drew a knife and stabbed a woman in the leg.

Police received emergency calls reporting the fight around 5:30 PM. Officers from the Bnei Brak-Ramat Gan station rushed to the scene, launched an initial investigation, and made arrests on the spot.

The primary suspect, a man in his 50s, was arrested on suspicion of carrying out the stabbing. A second suspect, a 32-year-old man, was arrested for assault. Both were taken to the police station for questioning.
