Fashion designer Yaron Minkowski has been selected to take part in the prestigious international exhibition Fashioning Power, Fashioning Peace, which will be held at the Woodrow Wilson House in Washington, D.C. The exhibition features designers from more than 50 countries and combines fashion with cultural and diplomatic messages.

The work representing Israel is the “Anemone Dress” - a design created as a tribute to the communities of southern Israel and the events of October 7. The dress draws inspiration from the landscapes of “Southern Red,” where the anemones symbolize the blood of the victims and the pain on one hand, and express hope, growth, and renewal on the other.

The dress will be displayed for approximately one month, with official events taking place at the venue and the participation of ambassadors, representatives, and guests from around the world. In this way, the piece joins a broad international dialogue where fashion serves as a medium for emotional and cultural expression.

Minkowski, one of the leading names in the Israeli fashion industry, has been active for about four decades and leads an original design approach associated with local creation. Among his clients over the years are well-known figures such as Orna Datz, Marina Maximilian, and Moran Atias.

According to him, “It is a great pride to represent Israel in an international exhibition and give fashion expression to an optimistic message following the October 7 tragedy, in the hope of a better future.”
