Melania Trump knows how to do casual in style – but in a style that costs thousands of shekels. The 55-year-old First Lady attended the weekend celebrations with the President in Virginia for the 250th birthday of the U.S. Navy, choosing a very relaxed look – at least at first glance. Blue jeans, a white shirt, a brown leather jacket, and a USA cap. But when you look at the prices, it quickly becomes clear that Melania's casual is something else entirely.

Melania took the stage over the weekend to greet Navy personnel, shouting three times to the crowd: "Hooyah, Navy!" – the Navy's famous battle cry used to boost morale. She was enthusiastically received by the audience and recalled her experience with sailors from the USS George H.W. Bush in 2018, praising the "pride and professionalism of the sailors" she met on that ship.

But what really drew attention was her look. Although it appeared relaxed and casual, the outfit cost over NIS 7,500 at Israeli prices. The star of the show? A large brown leather jacket from the brand Lamarque, priced at $745 (about NIS 2,800). The jacket features a sharp collar and silver zipper and looked great with her fitted blue jeans.

Melania paired the jacket with a white button-up shirt from her favorite fashion house, Dolce & Gabbana, along with skinny blue jeans from the now-closed brand m.i.h. jeans. To complete the look, she wore black crocodile leather loafers from Emme Parsons at $595 (about NIS 2,200), and a USA cap for $55 from the Trump store.

After arriving in Norfolk, President Trump and the First Lady watched a naval demonstration from the deck of the USS George H.W. Bush, which included firepower displays and various naval aircraft, including F-18s and F-35s taking off from the aircraft carrier.

After Melania greeted the crowd, President Trump gave a speech calling for pay raises for sailors after blaming Democrats for the government shutdown. "Don’t worry about that," Trump said, promising to return the money to sailors once the government reopens. The sailors present at the event applauded enthusiastically.

The couple’s weekend appearance comes a few weeks after they were spotted in an intense conversation near the White House, with Trump even pointing a finger at his wife. But as it turned out, the two were not in the middle of an argument – they were simply discussing malfunctions that occurred at the UN, including an escalator issue and a teleprompter problem.

So what’s the takeaway? Even when Melania "dresses simply," she does it in a style that costs thousands of shekels.
