After arriving in Norfolk, President Trump and the First Lady watched a naval demonstration from the deck of the USS George H.W. Bush, which included firepower displays and various naval aircraft, including F-18s and F-35s taking off from the aircraft carrier.
After Melania greeted the crowd, President Trump gave a speech calling for pay raises for sailors after blaming Democrats for the government shutdown.
