The local industry was recently honored with a new connection between the fashion house Golbary, which embarked on its first collaboration with Dror Kontento. The Israeli designer, known as one who possesses an exceptional ability to empower women through clothing design, took the first step in creating an evening collection based on designing pieces in a black-and-white palette, as a timeless tribute to elegance and as a direct interface with the mature character of Golbary.
The main items already offered for sale in the brand’s stores and on the online site – at a price range of NIS 249.90–449.90 – include mostly monochromatic choices. A natural choice, so that the stitching and combinations of lace and embroidery identified with Kontento’s design signature will be maximally expressed. Leading the campaign is the presenter and face of the brand, Ilanit Levi, who was recruited by the fashion company also for this very project.
So what’s in the collection? Midi- or maxi-length dresses rich in delicate lace details and a design jewel that becomes a focal point. Alongside them, tailored suits in clean lines, vests, and matching pants in straight or flared cuts at the buyer’s choice. Also featured are romantic-style button-down shirts that can optionally be combined during daytime hours, a flattering pencil skirt, and an evening jumpsuit.
“This is a collection that celebrates the duality within a woman,” says Kontento. “On the one hand, classic, elegant, and quiet, and on the other, powerful, dramatic, and full of statement. The choice of black and white sharpens this language exactly like a sharp pencil on a white page. We wanted to create something that is both wearable for any event and unforgettable.
