In recent years, there has been a significant rise in demand for non-invasive body contouring and circumference-reduction treatments. One of the new approaches is based on combining several technologies into a single treatment, aiming to affect different tissue layers – fat, skin, and muscles.

Bliss Max, a new Israeli device with a treatment approach that combines three main technologies: laser for fat breakdown, radiofrequency for skin rejuvenation, and electrical muscle stimulation, is considered the latest innovation in the field. According to this approach, the combination of technologies is expected to produce improved results compared to treatment with a single technology.

The Scientific Basis of the Technologies

Laser technology is based on the principle of controlled heating of fat cells. Laser radiation with a wavelength of 1064 nanometers is delivered into the fat tissue layer and heats the fat cells. This process, known as thermal lipolysis, is supposed to cause the fat cell membrane to break down and release its internal contents.

Radiofrequency (RF) works differently. It creates heat in the deep layers of the skin, which is supposed to stimulate new collagen production and strengthen existing collagen. The process aims to improve skin texture and provide a slight tissue tightening.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) mimics involuntary muscle contractions. The technology has been used for many years in physiotherapy to strengthen weakened muscles, but its application in aesthetic contouring is more recent.

Scientific Limitations and Realistic Expectations

Clinical studies on similar treatments show mixed results. While some studies indicate a certain reduction in the thickness of the fat layer, the changes are generally modest and vary greatly between patients.

"The treatment is especially suitable for those who have lost a lot of weight and now want to get rid of excess skin," says Dr. Lehavit Akerman, a dermatologist who offers treatments with the new combined device in her clinic. "The results we see before our eyes are amazing. This thing works." However, it is important to clarify that these treatments do not replace plastic surgery in cases of more significant skin folds.

Health Implications and Safety Considerations

These treatments are generally considered safe for healthy individuals, but it is important to remember that any medical intervention carries potential risks. Common side effects may include temporary redness, slight swelling, or sensitivity in the treated area.

People with certain medical conditions, such as heart disease, implanted pacemakers, or pregnant women, are not suitable for this type of treatment. A comprehensive medical examination is required before starting any treatment series.

Maintenance and Lifestyle

Experts emphasize that even the most advanced treatments are not a substitute for a healthy lifestyle. A balanced diet and regular physical activity remain the foundation for maintaining a healthy weight and body contour. Aesthetic treatments can serve as a complement, but not a replacement for personal effort.

In addition, the results are not permanent without maintenance. Lifestyle changes, weight gain, or natural aging can affect the results over time.

How Much Does It Cost?

The cost of a series of seven treatments is NIS 14,000. "But results can already be seen after three treatments," notes Dr. Akerman. According to her, reinforcement treatments are required as needed, and the results are maintained over time. The duration of each treatment session is one and a half hours – with each technology taking about half an hour.
