Venice Biennale jury excludes Israel, Russia from artist awards as EU threatens funding cut

The Venice Biennale jury announced it will refrain from considering artists from countries with leaders facing ICC charges, including Israel and Russia.

Gayton McKenzie, the South African culture minister, said that an unnamed “foreign country” had endeavored to fund the South African installation at the Biennale.
