Iran has executed a man who was found guilty of spying for Israel's intelligence agency Mossad, the semi-official Fars news agency and the Iranian Student News Agency reported on Monday, identifying the man as Esmail Fekri.
Fekri was killed by hanging this morning, according to ISNA, after originally being arrested in December.
Iran alleged that Fekri was in contact with two Mossad agents and provided them with intelligence.
The execution is the third in recent weeks related to the conduct of espionage on behalf of Israel.
Tehran's operations against alleged Mossad personnel in Iran
On Monday, the Rey County Special Police Command arrested two alleged Mossad internal agents in Fashafoyeh, according to the semi-official Tasnim news agency.
The supposed spies were found with explosive materials, drones, and launchers, according to the report.
Iran also said it had arrested two individuals it accused of being members of Israel's intelligence agency Mossad in Alborz province while they were preparing explosives and electronic devices, Tasnim reported on Sunday.
