US President Donald Trump said that he will announce the membership of the Gaza "Board of Peace" in early 2026, in a statement on Wednesday.
The committee will be responsible for overseeing the administration of the Gaza Strip under Trump's proposed peace plan.
It will be made up of "heads of the most important countries in the world - Kings, heads of state, and presidents - they all want to be on the 'Board of Peace,'" Trump said.
Earlier this week, Axios reported that Trump would be expected to announce the board and the transition to Phase II in the "next three weeks," citing two US officials and a Western source familiar with the details.
The "Board of Peace" will reportedly include approximately 10 Arab and Western leaders and will work alongside an international executive board composed of Jared Kushner, US envoy Steve Witkoff, and other senior officials from contributing countries.
