The IDF struck and destroyed several Hezbollah-used sites in southern Lebanon on Thursday, the military said.
The strikes, guided by intelligence, targeted Hezbollah missile launch sites, weapons storage facilities, and military posts that were used to plan and launch terror attacks against IDF troops, according to the military.
The IDF emphasized that "the presence of the infrastructure sites and the activity of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in these areas constitute a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon."
According to Army Radio, the strikes occurred only 10-15 km north of the Israeli town of Metula.
Army Radio argued that "Hezbollah is repeatedly trying to place rockets within short range of Metula."
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will convene a discussion on the situation in Lebanon with the defence echelon and Knesset ministers on Thursday night.
Ongoing IDF strikes on Hezbollah
Thursday's strike is the latest in a recent series of IDF operations aiming to halt Hezbollah's rebuilding of terror capabilities following unsuccessful Lebanese attempts to disarm the group.
On Sunday, the IDF conducted a strike in Beirut, killing top Hezbollah military commander Ali Tabatabai and four other terrorists.
