My relationship with laptops began relatively late in life. As a child, and even later on, I played most of my games on the heavy desktop computer at home. And now, years later, I remember why I loved it so much.
As mentioned, in recent years I’ve been relying more and more on laptops, mainly due to lack of time and the need for mobility. But recently I had the opportunity to spend more time at home, and I used this window to review a desktop gaming PC, hoping to recreate those magical moments.
From the very first moment, after taking the large Legion T7 by Lenovo out of the box, I immediately saw that this is a gaming machine. The case is heavy, mostly made of metal with a glass side panel, and feels extremely solid and high quality. Unlike flashy gaming PCs, the design is relatively clean and standard, with an illuminated logo and excellent airflow thanks to front fans and a wide ventilation mesh.
When you look under the hood, the picture only gets better. Lenovo equipped the T7 with an Intel Ultra 9 generation processor, delivering extremely powerful performance. In addition, it comes with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card. The GPU itself includes 16GB of dedicated memory, and the system comes with 128GB of RAM and up to 4TB of SSD storage.
The PC is very quiet, and you can feel that it does not overheat even after hours of heavy gaming, largely thanks to its liquid cooling system: Legion Coldfront. It keeps the system completely silent during intense esports sessions and allows the processor to be pushed to its limits while ensuring faster frame rates and ultimate responsiveness.
In terms of gaming, even the most demanding titles run smoothly, and most importantly - thanks to the cooling system, both the GPU and CPU remain cool without unusual heating. Overall, if the specification is not enough for you for any reason, you can freely upgrade each component, so you won’t be left behind.
The PC offers a rich and advanced set of ports, connectivity options, and interfaces tailored to the needs of professional gamers and content creators. Among others, it includes USB-C ports and a combined audio jack (3.5mm) for headphones and microphone. On the rear panel, there is an expanded layout including a Thunderbolt 4 port, along with six audio connections for surround sound management. On the display side, the powerful graphics card (RTX 5080) provides HDMI 2.1 and advanced DisplayPort outputs for multi-monitor setups at very high resolutions.
In terms of connectivity, the system is equipped with the latest wireless standard, Wi-Fi 7, enabling ultra-fast browsing and downloads, Bluetooth 5.4 for seamless connection to controllers and wireless accessories, and a wired LAN connection (RJ-45) with 2.5GbE standard, ensuring maximum stability and near-zero latency in competitive online gaming.
The Legion T7 desktop PC definitely delivers the goods, with high-quality hardware that provides strong performance, alongside comfort and future upgradeability.
