Last Thursday (30.4), a VIP event was held at Ofer Grand Mall Beersheba for the opening of the tenth official LEGO brand store in Israel. The new store, which opened, spans an area of 220 square meters, similar to the brand’s stores in leading cities around the world.

The event, held in a particularly festive atmosphere, took place in the presence of a range of senior figures, including Eran Tor – Founder and Chairman of TOR GROUP; Liora Ofer – Chairwoman of the Melisron Group; Yoav Gaon – CEO of LEGO Israel; Omer Ugolnik – CEO of Ofer Malls; senior officials from the Beersheba Municipality; local businesspeople; social media stars, and others.

Eran Tor opened the event, welcomed the guests, and said: "The enthusiasm of LEGO fans in Israel is simply inspiring. With every new store, we see a huge wave of excitement from children, families, and collectors alike. We are excited to bring the LEGO Store experience to Beersheba and the entire southern region, and to become a home for LEGO lovers in Israel – a place where creativity and imagination can flourish for all ages."

Liora Ofer said: "It is exciting that international chains are opening branches in Israel these days, it is not something to be taken for granted. I thank the LEGO brand management for choosing to establish one of the most beautiful and largest stores in Beersheba, similar to the brand’s stores abroad."

Moran Ben Abu, CEO of Ofer Grand Mall Beersheba, added: "We are happy and proud to host the official LEGO store in Beersheba. The LEGO brand inspires creativity, imagination, and joy, and its presence in our central boulevard enriches the leisure and shopping experience for families and brand enthusiasts. The addition of the impressive LEGO store reflects our commitment to innovation and excellence in the retail sector."

Omer Ugolnik, CEO of Ofer Malls, concluded the event and said: "The entry of LEGO into Grand Mall Beersheba is part of our strategy to bring leading international experiences to the audience. We see Beersheba as a growing market with an audience that is looking for much more than shopping – experience, inspiration, and quality time. LEGO is a brand that embodies exactly these values, and therefore this is a significant addition that strengthens the mall as a central leisure destination in the south of the country."

At the end of the remarks, a mezuzah affixing ceremony was held (including a LEGO mezuzah case!) and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
