DJI is launching the Osmo Action 6 in Israel, a new action camera defined by the company as the most advanced in the world and intended for content creators, athletes and travelers who need especially high image quality, exceptional durability and user convenience tailored to intensive field work. The camera arrives in Israel through the official importer Banda Magnetic and will be sold in electrical and electronics chains across the country, along with an extensive array of accessories and full support for DJI’s ecosystem.
The company notes that this is a significant technological leap not seen until now in the action camera category, combining a new sensor, improved stabilization systems, extreme resistance to water and temperature, as well as a series of shooting capabilities previously reserved mainly for professional cinema cameras. Banda explains that the camera is designed to meet the needs of Israeli content creators who work in the field on a daily basis and can now enjoy a work tool tailored to modern production requirements, including high shooting rates, advanced light control and highly flexible editing.
The Osmo Action 6 is equipped with a large square 1.1-inch sensor, defined as the most advanced sensor in the action camera category. It delivers high sharpness and a dynamic range of 13.5 stops, a figure that ensures improved performance in challenging daytime shots as well as night shots or low-light conditions. The camera offers an adjustable aperture between f2.0 and f4.0, allowing precise control over the amount of light and complete adaptation to any shooting scenario in the field, from fast sports photography to cinematic shots.
In video capabilities, the camera sets a new bar with 4K shooting at 120 frames per second in a 4:3 ratio, which provides an image rich in detail and particularly stable even in fast movement and scenes with high contrast. DJI also presents a significant upgrade in durability: The camera has been tested in an exceptionally wide temperature range of minus 20 to 45 degrees and can shoot continuously for up to four hours. In addition, it is waterproof to a depth of 20 meters without an additional housing and comes with a color temperature sensor and pressure gauge for accurate depth display in a marine environment.
The RockSteady and HorizonSteady stabilization systems offer some of the highest stability in the world and successfully handle extreme movement in sports, automotive filming, marine activity or any other dynamic situation. For the first time in the series, the camera includes built-in storage of 50GB, an addition that in many cases eliminates the need for a memory card and provides an extra layer of convenience and reliability in the field.
In the sound department as well, DJI added professional capabilities with the OsmoAudio system, which allows direct connection to two DJI transmitters without a receiver and offers internal microphones with advanced wind filtering including automatic audio backup. The camera supports the DJI Mimo app for quick editing and full real-time control, alongside compatibility with Osmo accessories.
The 4K Custom mode allows shooting in a square format specifically adapted for social networks, with the option of later cropping to a vertical, horizontal or square ratio without loss of quality. In Israel, the camera will be launched in two versions: Standard Combo priced at NIS 1999 and Adventure Combo priced at NIS 2499.
