A vacation in Israel over the coming month is about to become much more worthwhile. Hundreds of tourism businesses from north to south are joining the “Israeli Tourism Month” – a wide-ranging national initiative led by the Tourism Ministry, which will begin on October 29 and aims to transform the face of local tourism.

The project, with an investment of NIS 10 million, will offer the public a wide variety of experiences in the fields of accommodation, culture, nature, sports, workshops, museums, performances, extreme activities, and wellness. Alongside the special offers, there will be free tours and experiences available for a symbolic price of just NIS 18, as well as hotel discounts of at least 25%, including unique perks for hotel guests.

The campaign promoting the initiative stars Tzipi Shavit, one of Israel’s most beloved and respected entertainers. Shavit, a true Israeli icon, was recently photographed ahead of the campaign’s launch, aiming to inspire the public to go out, travel, and support local tourism businesses.

At the same time, a dedicated website will be launched to showcase all the activities, discounts, special prices, and flagship events, allowing the public to easily choose the destinations and experiences that suit them best.

Regional Format: A Different Area Each Week

The tourism month will be organized by region, with each week focusing on a different geographic area—Jerusalem, the North, Tel Aviv, and the South—and will include dozens of activities, hundreds of special offers, and at least 80 tours in each area.

In each region, a main flagship event will take place on Friday between 10:00 and 15:00, featuring some of Israel’s top artists. Alongside the performances, there will be food stalls offering the best of local produce:

October 31 – Jerusalem, Independence Park: Dudu Tassa hosting Ishay Ribo

November 7 – Nahariya, South Amphitheater: Ethnix hosting Jimbo J

November 14 – Tel Aviv, Charles Clore Park: Lola Marsh in their first acoustic show, followed by Full Trunk hosting Red Band

November 21 – Eshkol Park: Avraham Tal hosting Kobi Aflalo and Yuval Rephael

The flagship events will be accompanied by dozens of complementary activities – guided tours, workshops, street performances, family activities, and excursions designed to expose the public to Israel’s cultural and tourism gems.

Tourism Minister Haim Katz: “Under my leadership, the Tourism Ministry has put domestic tourism on the map. For the first time, and for an entire month, the public will be offered valuable benefits across hundreds of tourism experiences. This initiative is designed to make Israeli tourism more accessible and to strengthen the businesses affected by the war. Take a local vacation, travel our land, and enjoy the unique beauty and charm of Israel.”
