Since its establishment, Yealands Winery has been a leader in environmental sustainability in the global wine industry. The winery implements eco-friendly practices that include the use of sheep and chickens for natural weed and pest control, water conservation, the creation of wetlands to improve biodiversity, and the use of recycled materials for packaging and bottles.
The winery’s solar panel system, with a capacity of 412 kilowatts, was at the time the largest solar array in New Zealand. Continuing its environmental commitment, the winery has doubled its sustainability efforts since 2018.
Now, the wines of this winery are arriving in Israel with Yealands Sauvignon Blanc, a dry wine produced from Sauvignon Blanc grapes from the Marlborough region of New Zealand, a wine region renowned worldwide for the quality of its Sauvignon Blanc grapes, and with Yealands Reserve Sauvignon Blanc, the winery’s premium wine, produced from grapes grown in parcels in the Awatere Valley, where the climatic conditions allow for perfect ripening of the fruit, giving it aromatic richness and ideal flavor balance.
