At the ROZE Pilates studio in Or Akiva, designed by interior designer Oshri Gonen, a precisely designed space was created that allows practitioners to enter a world of control, breath, and contemporary elegance. Gonen, who is responsible for the design of a wide range of studios and Pilates rooms across the country, brings to each project a deep understanding of movement, the body, and the practitioner’s experience—and combines these with a clean, precise, and impactful architectural language.

The 80-square-meter studio was designed as a space that directly responds to the Pilates philosophy—a blend of rigidity and softness, precision and naturalness, free movement and physical control. The result is a quiet, focused, and aesthetic space that feels like a natural extension of the body.

The design is based on clean lines, natural materials, and a sense of airiness, while maintaining a clear visual language born from ROZE’s brand identity. The logo, combined with modern typography and a colorful flame element, appears as a dramatic focal point in the space and serves as a design anchor that dictates the color palette and contrast between elements. A ceiling in a deep purple shade—taken directly from the brand—creates a dramatic contrast against the white walls, elegantly concealing technical systems and integrating them into the architectural language.

One of the standout elements of the project is the combination of brushed stainless steel with a colorful dégradé print that continues the brand’s color scheme and creates visual movement throughout the entire space. This element not only adds a modern, technological shine but also functions as a continuous line of reflections and light. It wraps the space, enhances the energetic atmosphere, and creates a visual experience that evolves with each movement of the practitioner.

The storage system designed by Gonen was built as an integral part of the visual language—a gallery wall combining open shelves with built-in lighting, so that even the Pilates equipment is presented in an organized and professional manner, while at the same time perceived as a design object. The entire space is planned to allow free flow for practitioners and instructors, with emphasis on movement comfort, personal space, and easy access to auxiliary equipment. Solutions like moving sinks outside the restroom areas, incorporating round speakers into the wall cladding, and precisely chosen greenery that softens the lines—all contribute to a multi-layered experience that merges high functionality with a clean and sensitive user experience.

The ROZE studio demonstrates how commercial design can combine meticulous professionalism with a sensory and emotional experience. The space not only serves for training—it invites presence, focus, and concentration. It manages to be both technological and warm, graphic yet soft, and above all—a space that offers a sense of wholeness between body, movement, and place.
