Mosab Hassan Yousef, known as “The Green Prince,” who appeared with Dr. Dan Diker, President and Fellow, Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs (JCFA), at the Jerusalem Post Diplomatic Conference held at the Friends of Zion Media Center in Jerusalem,

said that Qatar is playing a double game by hosting Hamas, while at the same time presenting themselves as peace partners who are trying to bring back the hostages. “Basically,” said Yousef, “they are the arsonists who start the fire, then pose as the firefighters. They create a problem so they can provide the solution.”

Yousef, the son of a Hamas co-founder, who broke away from the terrorist group years ago, said that the Qatari leaders are complicit in the crimes of Hamas, and they should also be punished for their support of the terrorist group.

He explained that there are three types of “jihad,” or struggle: physical jihad, which is achieved by violence, financial jihad, which is what Qatar and Saudi Arabia do, and social media jihad, which comes from countries like Pakistan and Malaysia. “All of them are working around the clock to spread hate against the Jewish people, and Qatar is at the epicenter of this problem,” said Yousef.

Diker, who called Yousef one of the great moral voices of today, said that Israel must adopt moral clarity. “We can no longer explain and defend,” he said. We now have to move from defense to offense, and we have to move from what was known as hasbara, which means explaining, to toda’ah, which means exposing and influencing the audiences of our enemies.”

Discussing the challenges that Israel faces regarding possible UN recognition of a Palestinian state, Diker said, “The challenge is not really for Israel – it’s really for Europe, because what Europe has done is to shoot itself in the head by recognizing a Palestinian state. By electing to support a Palestinian state, it’s basically awarding a grand prize to Hamas, a grand prize to bin Laden, a grand prize to Al-Qaeda, a grand prize to Nusra, and a grand prize to all of the jihadists around the world.”
