The Israel Air Force conducted the strike on Friday on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy's headquarters in a military compound in Tehran.

A rocket directly hit in Nahariya, northern Israel, on Monday night, injuring at least seven, including six from smoke inhalation, while shrapnel fell in Jerusalem, including near al-Aqsa Mosque.

The IDF said the strike occurred overnight and targeted an aircraft used by Ali Khamenei and other senior Iranian officials and military personnel. 

This follows the same advice of the late Saudi King Abdullah, who had reportedly told Washington repeatedly to “cut off the head of the snake.”

According to the military, measures were taken to reduce civilian risk, including advance warnings, precision munitions, and aerial surveillance.

He added that “such cooperation can establish security in the region,” and urged people in the region not to shield US forces.

"Four drones were shot down near Baghdad International Airport, without causing any material or human damage," Maan told the Iraqi News Agency.

"In light of the Taliban's intransigence, we must carefully evaluate the utility of international assistance and engagement in Afghanistan," Waltz said.

The foreign ministry spokesperson also denied any Iranian attack against Turkey, Azerbaijan and Cyprus, pointing instead at what he called "false flag attacks."
