Ahead of the summer holiday period and the traditional Bein Hazmanim vacation, the Kinneret Cities Association announced that it will relaunch its free shuttle service, Around the Kinneret Line, which will operate from July 10 to August 27 for visitors traveling to the lake’s beaches.
On weekends (Friday-Saturday), two routes will operate around the Sea of Galilee: The green line from Tiberias northward and the blue line from Tiberias southward. Both routes will depart from the Galil Center station in Tiberias and will operate on the following dates: July 10-11, July 17-18, July 24-25, July 31-August 1, August 7-8, August 14-15, and August 21-22.
During August, an expanded shuttle service will operate along the eastern beaches: The red line from Tzemach Beach to the Yehudiya Junction, and the yellow line in the opposite direction. The routes will operate Sunday through Thursday on the following dates: August 2-6, August 9-13, August 16-20, and August 23-27.
The Kinneret Cities Association noted that the purpose of the service is to ease traffic congestion around the lake and provide safe access to the beaches, especially for teenagers and other visitors during the summer vacation period.
Real-time information about the shuttle routes is available through the HopOn Rav-Pass app and on the Kinneret Cities Association website. Entry to the association’s beaches is free of charge, with payment required only for parking in designated parking lots.
