Paris Saint-Germain celebrated a major 4-2 victory over Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday night, but even before the opening whistle at the Parc des Princes, a tifo displayed in the stands sparked the fury of Catalan club officials. Paris fans rolled out a massive tifo inspired by the horror film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, showing the character Leatherface, covered in blood and holding a chainsaw, butchering the crest of Barcelona.

The tifo, displayed by the "Collectif Ultras Paris" supporter group, was dubbed "The Parisian Massacre," playing on the original film's title. The central character wore a PSG shirt designed in honor of Daniel Hechter, one of the club's founders, as it sawed through Barcelona's blue, red, and yellow crest. The display was unveiled just days before Halloween, but Barcelona’s management did not find it an amusing homage to a horror movie.

According to a report in the Catalan newspaper Sport, Barcelona's management views the tifo as a violent and offensive message, and they are expected to file a formal complaint with UEFA as a result.

This is not the first time Paris fans have chosen a cinema-inspired tifo. In October 2023, members of the same organization displayed a massive tifo featuring French actor Jean-Paul Belmondo holding a gun, inspired by the poster for the film Le Professionnel.
