Sophie Rain, a famous OnlyFans creator who has earned $72 million on the platform so far, opens up about a disturbing phenomenon she’s been experiencing since rising to fame. Old friends who used to laugh at her are now messaging her asking for money.

The 20-year-old, who joined the platform two years ago, has since become one of the most recognizable and profitable models on the adult site. When that happened, many of her friends cut ties with her because of her sexual content. But ever since she became famous, Sophie has been getting messages from those same people hoping to get a piece of her fortune, even though they mocked her in the beginning.

With 7.2 million followers on her Instagram page @sophieraiin and as the co-founder of the infamous “Bop House,” Sophie is dealing with a complex reality. “Social media is definitely a very sketchy place,” she explains. “A lot of people who reach out to collaborate clearly want to use me. I’ve had a lot of so-called friends from the past who asked me for money even though I haven’t spoken to them in years.”

It’s not just people who forgot about her who are asking for money, but also people who mock her publicly. “You’ll see people making fun of me on social media, but in reality, they’re messaging me and asking for help,” she reveals. Despite this difficult experience, Sophie chooses to be generous. “Often, I do help them because I believe in good karma,” she says.

The road to fame wasn’t easy for the former waitress. “Growing up, I had a very tight circle of friends,” she recalls. “I’m sure a lot of people from my old school judge me, but my closest friends have stayed by my side and my family is fully supportive.”

Although her family supports her career, she lost friendships along the way and was even fired by an employer when she first signed up to OnlyFans.

“The only person who really didn’t support me was my old boss at the waitressing job,” Sophie shares. “He fired me after finding out about OnlyFans and told me I was ruining my life.” But that wasn’t the end of the story – “Over the years we repaired our relationship and I always leave a huge tip for his new waiters whenever I visit, because I was once in their place.”

Sophie’s closest friends now are her fellow Bop House partners, who she says she knows will never use her for her money. She opened the mansion last December along with her friend and relative Aisha Sophie, 22. The two invited five more OnlyFans stars to join them in the luxury Miami home, where they work together on their content.

Bop House has become a massive online hit with over three million followers across TikTok and an Instagram page @bophouse that has also gained around half a million followers. Many people compare it to the infamous Playboy Mansion, but at Bop House, there are only women – no man in charge of them. The women claim they earned £10 million in the first month and £12 million in January.

“I really only spend time with my current group of friends, the girls from Bop House,” Sophie explains. “They are my biggest support and I know they won’t hurt me. It’s important in this career to have a support system to stay sane.”

Living together creates a strong bond: “We’re never apart from each other for more than a few hours a day. There’s a lot of girl drama but it usually gets resolved by the end of the night. We annoy each other constantly and at the same time show affection and how much we love each other.”

Sophie emphasizes that their strength is in teamwork: “A lot of people think there’s constant competition but we know how strong we are as a group. We work better as a team and our income definitely reflects that.”
