Brian Johnson, an influencer known by his millions of followers as “Liver King,” was arrested in Austin last month after making threats against famously controversial podcaster Joe Rogan.

Johnson, who encourages followers to consume a raw meat-only diet, posted a video challenging Rogan to a fight.

"Man to man, I'm picking a fight with you," Johnson published on Instagram. “I have no training in jiu-jitsu, you’re a black belt, you should dismantle me. But I’m picking a fight with you. Your rules, I’ll come to you, whenever you’re ready.”

While Johnson has no martial arts background, he challenged Rogan, who has a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

"Detectives reviewed the posts and observed that Johnson was traveling to Austin while continuing to make threatening statements. Detectives contacted Mr. Rogan, who stated he had never had any interaction with Johnson and considered the posts to be threatening. Based on this information, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Johnson on a charge of Terroristic Threat," Austin police said in a statement.

Charges against the Liver King

Johnson was charged with making terroristic threats, a Class B misdemeanor.

He posted an Instagram story after being released from jail, eating steak at the Four Seasons, and has posted several videos. In one video, he seems to address the charges while drinking blue scorpion, saying that was how he got ready for a fight.
