Cynthia Nixon’s allegedly “observant” Jewish son is hunger striking for Gaza, the Sex and the City actress told Newsweek last week.

Nixon claimed that her son, Seph Mozes, was enacting the strike in Chicago along with several of his friends from the controversial organization Jewish Voices for Peace (JVP).

“He and five other of his compatriots are doing a hunger strike in Chicago [since] Monday, for Gaza,” Nixon told Newsweek, adding that their motto was, “Stop starving Gaza, stop arming Israel.”

“[He] doesn’t have illusions that he’s going to end the war, but I think he wants to do everything he can,” she added.

Seph is one of two children Nixon shares with her ex-husband Danny Mozes, according to People Magazine.

“I am the mother of two Jewish children whose grandparents are Holocaust survivors," she explained on The View. "My oldest son, in particular, he really has been reaching out to my wife and I and asking us — imploring us, really — to say, ‘Use your voice to affirm as loudly as you can that ‘never again’ means ‘never again’ for anyone.’ ”

Cynthia Nixon’s history of pro-Palestinian activism

Repeatedly appearing draped in Palestinian flags since the war broke out against Hamas in October 2023, Nixon has made frequent headlines for her comments on American Jewry and Gaza.

In November 2023, only a month after more than 250 people were abducted by Hamas from southern Israel, Nixon began her own hunger strike outside the White House.

In January, she also signed a petition supporting South Africa’s genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice.

She also drew condemnation when she claimed that antisemitism originates “largely comes from the right wing, not from young people worried about Palestinians.”
