The Rafah Crossing to Gaza will reopen in the coming days to facilitate the exit of residents from the Gaza Strip to Egypt, COGAT announced on Wednesday.

"In accordance with the ceasefire agreement and a directive of the political echelon, the Rafah Crossing will open in the coming days exclusively for the exit of residents from the Gaza Strip to Egypt," COGAT stated.

Egypt to help coordinate crossing from Gaza

According to the announcement, Egypt will be involved in coordinating the Palestinians' exit through the crossing.

The crossing will take place following Israeli security approval supervised by a European Union mission, "similar to the mechanism that operated in January 2025," COGAT added.
