The IDF killed two Hezbollah terrorists in a pair of strikes on the terror organization in Lebanon overnight, the military stated on Wednesday morning.

The two strikes occurred in the Bint Jbeil and Blida areas of southern Lebanon.

According to the IDF, the Bint Jbeil strike successfully targeted “a terrorist involved in reestablishment activities for the Hezbollah terrorist organization.”

The Blida strike targeted a terrorist “observed gathering intelligence on IDF troops."

The IDF cited terrorist “violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon” as the reason for the strikes, affirming its commitment to “continue to operate to remove any threat and protect the State of Israel."

The Hezbollah-aligned Lebanese news outlet, Al-Manar, alleged that an IDF drone struck again on Wednesday morning, targeting a near Tayri and killing one person. The outlet claimed that eight students travelling in a nearby school bus were wounded in the alleged strike.

Al-Manar also alleged that the IDF shelled the Lebanese town of Yaroun, but that no one was hurt or killed.

Additional IDF strikes in Lebanon

This follows a Tuesday strike where the IDF targeted a compound being used as a Hamas training base in Lebanon, killing 13 and wounding four.

The compound was under long-term surveillance before the strike, IDF sources reportedly told Ynet.

"The military compound that was struck was used by Hamas terrorists for training and exercises in order to plan and carry out terrorist attacks against IDF troops and the State of Israel," the IDF stated in a press release.

According to N12 News, Hamas denied that it had training compounds in Lebanon.
