British singer Jessie J shared on Monday the newly released footage of the Hamas video depicting hostage Evyatar David’s emaciated body as he digs out his own grave, and called in her social media post for an end to suffering.

Turning to an audience of over 14 million followers in her post on Instagram, she said that the images of David were “heartbreaking” and wrote, “I just cannot bear the evil in this world. Please, God, make the suffering end.”

She accompanied this with a broken heart emoji.

On Saturday, two videos of David, who was abducted on October 7, 2023, from the Nova music festival, were published. Beyond revealing his physical state, the videos included his own words.

A chart he held up appeared to log his meals in captivity, with several days marked “no food” and others “lentils.”

David and the 49 remaining hostages have been in Hamas captivity for 669 days since the massacre.

The musician’s plea came shortly after a public announcement that the singer had undergone successful surgery for early-stage breast cancer.

'Never again'

Jessie J also shared a post with David’s photo and a quote from activist Rachel Moiselle.

“I thought images of starved Jews digging their own graves would forever be confined to history books. To see the past become present is a horror. Never Again. Again,” the artist wrote in that post.
