The annual Tel Aviv Night Run, featuring courses lined with DJ stands and illuminated art installations, will take place on October 29.
Ron Huldai, the mayor of the Tel Aviv-Yafo municipality, invited all interested to join. “The Night Run is an opportunity to come together, to create moments of community and togetherness, to exercise and enjoy the city – true to the spirit of resilience that defines the Nonstop City,” Huldai said in a statement released by organizers of the race.
The yearly event, organized by the Tel Aviv-Yafo municipality, is described as a “celebration of sport, music, and urban energy” and will feature three course lengths. The choice between a 5km, 10km, or 15km course gives runners of all fitness levels options to participate in the event.
The route will lead thousands of runners through streets that are usually bustling with traffic and past cultural landmarks, a unique opportunity to explore the beauty of Tel-Aviv on foot, as the streets making up the courses will be closed off for motor vehicles.
The 15km course will extend to Hostages Square to “symbolize a collective call to bring everyone home,” a new destination decided upon following the October 13 release of the last remaining living hostages.
Tel Aviv's commitment to fitness and community
In addition to the annual Tel Aviv Night Run, the Tel Aviv-Yafo municipality hosts a number of other sporting events as a part of the municipality’s “year-round commitment to sports, fitness, and community life.”
