The IDF and Israel Police are attempting to locate a Palestinian vehicle that fled during a traffic stop near the Elazar Junction in the West Bank, authorities said in a Tuesday afternoon joint statement.
An officer from the Israel Police's national headquarters was on a routine patrol when he observed a vehicle with Palestinian license plates committing a traffic violation and stopped it for inspection.

In response, the officer fired at the vehicle, to no avail.
No injuries were reported.
Earlier on Tuesday, Israeli media reported the incident as a suspected ramming attack targeting a police officer, and that the officer was pursuing the vehicle northward.
