About 70 soldiers from the IDF’s ultra-Orthodox Hashmonaim Brigade completed the brigade’s first squad commanders course, the IDF announced on Wednesday.
The graduation was held on Tuesday by the Hashmonaim Brigade commander, Colonel "A." The graduates' commanders and families were in attendance.
Throughout the training, participants underwent combat training exercises in both urban and open terrain, participated in navigation drills across the country, and some also fought in Gaza.
First Hashmonaim commanders ready to serve
“This is the first course for training squad commanders from the haredi sector in the Hashmonaim Brigade, and it is part of significant processes in the IDF to integrate haredi youth into military service,” the IDF stated.
