The IDF shot at four terrorists across the Yellow Line as Israeli troops were working to dismantle terror tunnels in Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, the military said Wednesday.

The IDF later stated that soldiers killed three out of the four terrorists.

Additionally, in a separate incident, IDF troops killed a terrorist in Khan Yunis who was seen crossing the Yellow Line and approaching the soldiers.

The troops in Rafah identified the terrorists after they emerged from an underground tunnel. The IDF assessed that the four Gazans they identified are part of the approximately 200 terrorists that remain in the “terror pocket” in Rafah.

No injuries were reported amongst IDF troops, the military added.

Israel, US reach deal to deport 200 terrorists in tunnels below Rafah

This comes after Israel and the US reached a deal to deport the 200 terrorists hiding in the tunnels below Rafah.

Despite the arrangement, no country has yet agreed to accept the deported individuals, leaving a key aspect of the deal unresolved.

US officials made it clear in recent days that they want to resolve the issue of Hamas terrorists in the tunnels, saying that they "think [the terrorists] should get free passage, after Goldin's release."

The Israeli government spokesperson told Reuters that any decision on trapped Hamas fighters will be made in collaboration with the Trump administration.

This is a developing story.
