An indictment was filed Tuesday against Yitzhak Frankel, a 19-year-old yeshiva student, for the rape, assault, and indecent acts committed against a 14-year-old boy in a swimming pool locker room in the town of Matityahu, as well as threatening to cut off the victim's penis and make him eat it.

On August 24, at around 6 p.m., the victim entered the locker room wearing a bathing suit. At the same time, the defendant entered the opposite room with a black bag, containing toiletries, a knife, and a gun-like object with bullets.

According to the indictment, Frankel opened the minor's curtain in the shower and asked for shampoo, to which the victim replied no twice. Frankel then said the boy should move to his shower for warmer water. When the boy agreed, the defendant closed the curtain, held him at knifepoint, and threatened to stab him.

At this point, Frankel reportedly started caressing the victim's body.

"Your body is hot, I like it," he allegedly said. "You're handsome, I like you."

Frankel then touched the victim's body, removed both of their clothes, and proceeded to rape him. At one point, he scratched the victim's stomach with the knife and drew blood, saying, "This way, I'll remember what you taste like" before slapping him.

Frankel then tried to make the boy swallow medication, but the victim refused, claiming to be allergic.

The defendant also showed the minor the gun-like object, claiming it was a real weapon, and also threatened to cut off the victim's penis and eat it.

The boy, fearing Frankel would carry out his threats, managed to escape.

How the police apprehended the alleged rapist

A member of the pool staff came into the locker room at that point, but Frankel said he was simply disciplining his son. The victim, however, managed to reach the reception staff and report what had happened, alerting the police

The defendant was able to get dressed and flee the scene of the crime while the pool staff were being notified of what happened. One of the employees tried to stop Frankel and chase after him, but was unsuccessful.

Frankel tried to hide his trail by removing the SIM card from his phone, but police were able to arrest him after he arrived at a synagogue to pray two hours later.

The charges facing Frankel include aggravated rape, indecent acts on a minor without consent, and assault.
