IDF reservist Maj. Eitan Orbach was killed in a car accident on his way home from operational activity in the military in the Jordan Valley on Friday morning, the Beit She'an municipality announced.
Orbach, 45, leaves behind a wife and five children. His eldest daughter's wedding was scheduled two weeks ahead of the accident, according to N12.
His funeral is expected to be held after Shabbat at the military cemetery in Beit She'an, his hometown, KAN reported. The city's municipality announced on Facebook their "shock and sadness at the death of Orbach.

"Eitan was a social activist and a well-known figure in the city's community. On behalf of the city's residents, the municipality's administration and employees, we would like to extend our condolences to his wife, Nechama, and his children, Tzion, Da'el, Tsari, Karmi, and Argaman.
Orbach's vehicle reportedly overturned while driving home, the N12 report said. He was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead by medical officials.
An investigation was later opened by Israel Police.
