Three adults and a 3-year-old infant were rescued from the Yarkon River, north of Petah Tikva, after their vehicle sank into the 1.5 meter depths, Israel Fire and Rescue Service announced on Friday night.

The rescuers responded to an emergency call and found the trapped group sitting on the roof of their car, where they were to avoid the rising water.

Using a ladder, the rescuers were able to save all members of the trapped party without incident.

Second family rescued from Yarkon River

Hours after the first rescue, another family was rescued from the Yarkon River.

Firefighters rescued two adults and two children after their vehicle became trapped in a large body of water. The family was rescued without incident.
