A man around 50 years old was confirmed dead after being trapped under a train car at Wolfson Station in Holon on Thursday morning.
Israel's emergency medical service, Magen David Adom (MDA), stated that he was hit by a train near the station.
When MDA paramedics arrived, the man exhibited no signs of life, and paramedics were forced to declare him dead at the scene.
Trains were disrupted at the station due to the incident, according to Israel's Fire and Rescue Authority.
Similar deaths after passing trains hit individuals
Similar incidents have happened over recent years with accidental fatalities at train stations.
A 42-year-old Israeli woman was killed after being hit by a passing train at Tel Aviv's Savidor Central station in February 2023.
In June of that year, a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a train in Netanya.
Then, in August of 2024, an individual was hit by a passing train in northern Israel after he entered the area of the railroad tracks.
