Arkia Airlines is launching a luxurious Business Class on its New York route and is strengthening the route with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The addition of the new aircraft will allow for two more weekly flights. There will now be five weekly flights to New York.

The new Airbus A330-200 aircraft on the New York route includes a Business Class with 18 wide seats that open into a two-meter-long bed. Business Class passengers will receive an extended baggage allowance, personal comfort kits, full VIP service, and access to the Dan Lounge at Ben-Gurion Airport and at JFK. During the flight, they will be served gourmet meals on porcelain dishes, accompanied by a choice of select alcoholic beverages.

The price of a one-way Business Class ticket starts at $1,750.

Oz Berlowitz, CEO of Arkia, says, "Israel is experiencing challenging times of uncertainty. We are monitoring demand levels and adapting to the current needs. The Israeli public is choosing to continue flying, and we thank them for the trust they place in Arkia.

“In the past year, Arkia has been in a period of growth and renewal, operating according to a clear strategy and attentive to the evolving market situation. The company successfully entered the New York route. Now, in light of the cancellations of flights by American airlines, we are strengthening the route with the Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner aircraft from Italian company NEOS. This move will enable us to add direct flights, with a tailored response for traditional passengers as well, and provide a solution to the increase in demand.
