Far Right Jewish settlers vandalized and set fire to a military facility on Sunday night, the IDF confirmed on Monday morning.

A KAN News report noted that millions of shekels had been invested in the facility to defend Jewish residents of the West Bank.

This included cameras and systems to monitor and thwart terrorism in the area, the military added.

Photos shared by the IDF Spokesperson's Unit show graffiti sprayed on the walls of the facility.

Security officials are currently investigating whether the functionality of the facility was affected by the incident, KAN's report added.

Security officials speaking to Walla assessed that this incident is a continuation of far Right protests against the IDF by Jewish settlers in the central West Bank.

"The rioters who set fire to a security-operational facility tonight must be punished to the fullest extent of the law," Yisrael Beytenu head and former defense minister MK Avigdor Liberman wrote on X/Twitter on Monday morning.

"Any harm to IDF soldiers is a severe blow to the State of Israel and its values. I call on the law enforcement authorities to act decisively and to bring those responsible for these despicable acts to justice," he added.

Uptick in far Right settler violence in recent weeks

This latest arson event follows far Right activists attacking Israeli security forces and vandalizing military vehicles on Sunday night at the Binyamin Regional Brigade Headquarters in the West Bank.

Security forces were attacked by pepper spray, and by the end of the incident, one civilian was wounded and evacuated to receive medical treatment.

Over 10 Jewish extremists set a house on fire in Hizma, shot at Palestinians, and fled before the IDF was able to arrive at the scene earlier on Sunday, a security official told Army Radio.

This, in turn, followed the arrest of six Jewish rioters after they attacked IDF soldiers near Kafr Malik between Friday night and Saturday morning.

This was in reaction to an IDF officer firing in the air, accidentally shooting a 14-year-old Jewish minor who was throwing rocks at an IDF vehicle while soldiers were trying to protect Palestinians from extremist violence in Kafr Malik, near Ramallah.

On Wednesday, three Palestinians were killed, several others were wounded, and an IDF soldier was lightly wounded in clashes with Jewish West Bank residents and Border Police officers outside of Ramallah.

During that incident, approximately 30 Jewish individuals entered the village of Maghayer Al-Dir and set fire to Palestinian-owned buildings and vehicles and sprayed graffiti on walls, security sources told Army Radio.
