Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi reportedly sought advice from Jeffrey Epstein on arranging a diplomatic visit to Israel in 2017, Indian media reported on Saturday.

In an email that was released as part of the Epstein Files, the convicted sex criminal and disgraced financier alleged that Modi had followed his advice to travel to Israel to strengthen relations with the United States.

“The Indian Prime Minister Modi took advice. and danced and sang in Israel for the benefit of the US president. They had met a few weeks ago. IT WORKED,” the email message from Epstein reads.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs slammed Epstein’s implications.

“Beyond the fact of the Prime Minister’s official visit to Israel in July 2017, the rest of the allusions in the email are little more than trashy ruminations by a convicted criminal, which deserve to be dismissed with the utmost contempt,” said spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal.

The Prime Minister’s Office has not commented on the matter.

When did Modi visit Israel?

Modi visited Israel in July of 2017 and met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. It was the first-ever visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Israel, a handout from the Indian Ministry of External Affairs read.

At the time, the two nations were celebrating 25 years of diplomatic relations. India and Israel established diplomatic relations in 1992.

This comes after Congress released the final cache of millions of documents related to Epstein, as required by a law passed in November 2025 that required the release of all Epstein-related records. The cache included three million pages, 2000 videos, and 180,000 images.
