Far Left Independent British MP Zarah Sultana claimed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is using the Iranian protests as a pretext to militarily intervene and bring about regime change in Iran, according to a post on her personal X/Twitter on Monday.

The "unrest is being cynically exploited by Netanyahu’s genocidal government as a pretext for military intervention and regime change," she accused.

This must be "firmly rejected," she added.

She also noted that the "images of body bags leave no doubt about the brutality of Iran’s repression, and a communications blackout is indefensible."

Yet, the support for Iranian people to "have their right to decide their future" must be held together with denouncing an alleged Netanyahu aim of intervention.

"No outside power should dictate or interfere. Any serious politics requires holding all of these truths together," she concluded.

Sultana joined former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn in founding "Your Party," but rifts have emerged between the two camps over how to run the nascent far Left movement.
