After an antisemitic assault on a Toronto Jewish pedestrian two months ago, the Toronto Police Service on Tuesday called for the public to aid in identifying the suspect.

A victim who was " identifiable as a person of Jewish faith" was walking on the sidewalk on September 27 when the suspect assaulted him.

During the assault, racial slurs were reportedly hurled at the victim.

The incident occurred amid an increase in antisemitic incidents in the Canadian city since the October 7 Massacre.

Last Tuesday, a vandal smashed the windows of the Kehilat Shaarei Torah synagogue with a hammer, marking the tenth time that the Toronto synagogue has been defaced in a year and a half.

This is a developing story.
